Special rivals by neighbourhood
Big Ambitions rivals
EA 0.5 shipped four special rivals, fifteen minor rivals, and a BizPhone Rivals app with a top-20 board. Attacks cover price, market and employees. Ingrid Schneider holds Garment District — the 37 1st Street / 44 5th Avenue starter. Jessica Johnson is Hell’s Kitchen. Huang Guo is Midtown and later the named host of the announced Shanghai DLC. Thierry Laurent Moreau is Murray Hill. Uncle Fred is not a special rival in that 0.5 set: he gives the opening apartment and job, and 1.0 places his Hamptons home plus golf nemesis Richard.
Special rivals and turf
The confirmed table has five named people: four special rivals plus Uncle Fred. Special rivals map onto four of the seven districts. Lower Manhattan, Industry City and The Hamptons have no specialRival field in first-party notes. Compare neighbourhoods on the other page if you need those empty fields side by side.
The Rivals app is how attacks show up. Price, market and employee attacks are the named categories from 0.5. Poach or buy out is a player task; exact percentages are not in the capture. Fifteen minor rivals exist as a count without a public name roster in the sealed file.
Ingrid Schneider
Garment District
EA 0.5 special rival.
Jessica Johnson
Hell’s Kitchen
EA 0.5 special rival.
Huang Guo
Midtown
EA 0.5 special rival; later named as the Shanghai DLC host.
Thierry Laurent Moreau
Murray Hill
EA 0.5 special rival.
Uncle Fred
Starter / The Hamptons
Gives the opening apartment and job; 1.0 places his Hamptons home plus golf nemesis Richard.
Huang Guo and announced DLC
Huang Guo is Midtown’s special rival in EA 0.5 and the named host of Shanghai DLC on the living roadmap after Hovgaard dropped a Costa Del Sol idea. That DLC is announced, not dated as shipped. Do not write Shanghai streets as current 1.0 geography.
Uncle Fred remains the opening helper. Richard is a golf nemesis in The Hamptons, not a fifth special rival in the 0.5 list. Keep those labels separate so the timeline stays honest.
Rivals app, attacks and the top 20
EA 0.5 The Rivalry Begins is the patch that adds the four special rivals, fifteen minor rivals and the BizPhone Rivals app. The app is on the same tray as MarketInsider. Attacks are price, market and employees. The top-20 board is the ranking surface.
Garment District players meet Ingrid Schneider first because that is the starter turf. Expanding into Hell’s Kitchen, Midtown or Murray Hill is how Jessica Johnson, Huang Guo and Thierry Laurent Moreau enter the story. Lower Manhattan and Industry City expand the map without a named special rival.
The Hamptons mansion still on this page is residential 1.0 colour: pool, stepping stones, cabana, black fence. Uncle Fred lives at that end of the scale. Richard is golf, not a 0.5 special rival. Track attacks in the app; do not expect a rebuilt HUD here.
