Dated first-party marks
Big Ambitions 1.0 patch notes
Early Access launched 10 March 2023. The 1.0 full release is 28 August 2026. Between them: 0.5 The Rivalry Begins (18 April 2024), 0.6 Assemble The Line (17 October 2024), 0.9 The Struggle (30 September 2025), 0.10 No Business Like Show Business (11 March 2026), 0.11 The Workshop Awakens (18 June 2026). Announced, not shipped: Let the Good Tides Roll (sailboats, ferry, yacht interiors, Statue of Liberty sail) and Shanghai DLC versus Huang Guo after further free updates. Historical, current and upcoming stay labelled separately on the nine-mark timeline.
Nine sealed version marks
The timeline below is the sealed nine-row set. Historical rows carry dates. The current row is Big Ambitions 1.0 on 28 August 2026. Upcoming rows have empty releaseDate fields because Hovgaard has not shipped them. Some editorial clocks print 29 August; the pinned first-party announcement is the 28th.
Hotfix build numbers between named content updates are not each given a version row. If you need a one-line patch that only restated prior features, read the Steam news feed directly.
Nine is the sealed count: six historical Early Access marks, one current 1.0, two upcoming. If a new Steam post only hotfixes, it does not earn a tenth row until the architecture is resealed.
0.5 adds special rivals, minor rivals, the Rivals app and Lower Manhattan with 100+ buildings, Hudson Wholesale and Essentials Appliances. 0.6 adds factories and the named pier importers. 0.9 adds Industry City P/Q lots, Titans of Industry Supply and Stonegood Architecture. 0.10 adds cinema, theater and a factory revamp. 0.11 adds official Steam Workshop, gym drinks, travel and event agencies, and office profitability boosts.
Named Preview posts exist before 0.9, 0.10 and 0.11, and Hovgaard ran a 1.0 beta. The experimental branch is first-party, not a second SKU. Join it from Steam’s beta tab when a preview post says so; it is not a separate store product.

What 1.0 actually shipped
The Hamptons, Private Driver via Onyx Luxury Chauffeurs, Speedy Bites, Pricing Manager, banking revamp (no negative interest, stricter loans, larger maximum, partial payments, auto-invest, 10% late tax in EconoView), faster energy drain when hunger/happiness are low, furniture pass, Brick Breaker, Halcyon Fairway and A Racket of Love. Workshop was already in 0.11.
Steam US price at capture is $25.99 with a 20% intro to $20.79. Reviews Very Positive 12751/13792. Platforms Windows and macOS. 126 achievements. Single-player tag.
Hovgaard posted named Preview notes before 0.9, 0.10 and 0.11, then a 1.0 beta in August 2026. Those posts are first-party. The experimental branch is a Steam beta tab, not a second SKU on another store. Epic 403 and missing GOG SKU stay true regardless of branch.
Preview copy often restates the same features the later full notes ship. This timeline keeps one row per named content update plus 1.0 plus two upcoming marks. If you are chasing a hotfix number, open Steam news; this page will not inflate nine rows into eighty.
The 1.0 full-release Steam post is the current-tense source for Hamptons, banking, driver, Speedy Bites, Pricing Manager and minigames. The sneak-peek video is older marketing for that same edition. Upcoming Tides and Shanghai remain future tense.
Announced free updates and Shanghai DLC
The living roadmap PNG at bigambitionsgame.com/roadmap/ names Let the Good Tides Roll as a free update with sailboats, a ferry, yacht interiors and a Statue of Liberty sail. It also names The Sky’s the Limit. The PNG says items can be removed; treat announced boats as upcoming, not present.
Studio Insights #4 (4 December 2025) says post-1.0 work is more updates over several months then the first DLC. The DLC is Shanghai versus Huang Guo after dropping Costa Del Sol. Sales claims in that post are 600,000 copies and 1.1 million lifetime with Startup Company. Dates on DLC remain estimates.
The 1.0 sneak-peek video 4OLiFPnYgJw is the official announcement trailer bound to this route. Mad Whip - Gold is the achievement icon assigned here so the page has exclusive media without reprinting the lease photo.
Do not schedule a Shanghai opening date; the sealed upcoming row has an empty releaseDate.
How to read historical versus upcoming
Historical means the patch already shipped and the systems are in 1.0 unless a later note removed them. Current means the 28 August 2026 edition you buy on Steam today. Upcoming means announced: Let the Good Tides Roll and Shanghai DLC. The roadmap PNG’s own disclaimer is that items can be removed.
Do not collapse those three states into one present tense. A ferry on the roadmap is not a ferry at 37 1st Street. Huang Guo in Midtown is current; Huang Guo hosting Shanghai is upcoming.
Steam news IDs captured for this wiki include the 1.0 full release, the two-weeks-away post, the 1.0 beta invite, 0.11 and its preview, 0.10 and its preview, and Studio Insights #4. Those are the posts behind the nine marks.
Studio Insights #4 is dated 4 December 2025, months before 1.0, which is why its DLC plan is still upcoming on a 1.0 wiki. Sales claims in that post are ecosystem facts, not patch notes. The sneak-peek trailer 4OLiFPnYgJw is the official video for this route.
